Gachagua hosts parents at Mathira's home
The DP has been on a spirited campaign to eradicate the use of illegal brews and substance abuse in the Mount Kenya region.
According to Citizen Digital, the DP highlighted the benefits of the anti-drug campaign, linking it to increased pregnancies among resident women.

"The other day, I called parents here to get unga and cooking oil, and about 10, 000 showed up. When women with small, wailing babies lined up I was very happy,” said Gachagua.
"Then I asked the pregnant ones to line up and there was a longer line. Iam very proud that our families are back and will keep growing," he added.
Gachagua revealed that the fight against illicit brew has seen a 70% success rate in Central Kenya, thanking the local administration and the police for helping with the reforms.

In his speech, the second in command revealed he was once a drunkard, but he quit the bottle after getting born again.
