TUKO Business Leaders Award 2023

According to TUKO, the Business Leaders Award recognises business leaders whose initiatives and the businesses they lead have had a notable positive impact on the lives of Kenyans.

The Award is designed to honour CEOs and Business Leaders who have played a pivotal role in shaping Kenya's social and economic landscape through their transformative projects.

Kimani receives the award

While receiving the award, Kimani appealed to Kenyans in a position to help someone, especially in education, to do so, noting that it is not just about paying school fees but also transforming their lives in a big way.

"You are simply changing their destiny. It might be the difference between an unfruitful and productive life,” Kimani noted.
“On my own accord and that of Username, we are committed to the best of our abilities to support education initiatives for those who are bright but unfortunately come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Over time, we have partnered with Affecto Foundation to support many young and bright minds who are like where I was 20 years ago,” Kimani said while receiving the award delivered to Username Head Office in Westlands by Julia Majale, Managing Director, TUKO Media.
“In the 2023 KCPE Examination, there were 1,406,557 candidates across the country. It is my desire and hope that all candidates will transition successfully so that they achieve their career dreams. However, the reality of the matter is that we still have a number of them who will not be privileged to proceed with their education due to lack of school fees," added Kimani.

Wishing all candidates the best

Reuben concluded by wishing all KCPE candidates the best as they prepare to join Form 1 in 2024. He encouraged them to use education to unlock their career dreams and, in turn, become valuable members of society and solve real-life challenges.

Reuben Kimani is an award-winning CEO; some awards he has won include Realtor Founder of the Year, African Business Personality, Entrepreneur of the Year and JKUAT Alumni Achievement Award.
