VR is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world.
It typically involves the use of a head-mounted display and other sensory feedback devices to create an immersive, 3D environment; it has applications in various industries, including gaming, entertainment, education, healthcare, and more.
Kenyans graduate from 'Arizona University'
At the event, the president unveiled the Kenyan graduates of free courses provided by Arizona State University.
Ruto had promised Kenyans attending the 2022 Jamhuri Day they would get access to the courses.
The celebration at Nyayo Stadium was tech-themed and the president dedicated it to promoting technological innovations and the abilities of Kenyans in the field.
Going by Ruto's announcement on Sunday, December 11, every Kenyan citizen attending the celebrations would get a free 16-unit course that would cost KSh 100,000 if they were to pay.
"Every citizen who will come to Nyayo Stadium will go back with a course paid for by the University of Arizona. You would otherwise pay 1000 dollars but you will go home with a 16-unit course that you can learn," he said.
The first in command's promise of a free course however divided opinions online with many being sceptical.
The course would be offered by the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
To access the scholarship, Ruto asked the Jamhuri Day attendees to scan the QR codes near them.
"It is now time to keep the promise. There is a QR Code near you. Scan and access the scholarship now. A 16-unit course that would have cost you KSh 100,000, is now accessible to you for free, courtesy of the Innovation Jamhuri," said Ruto.
