Nairobi – Busia county MP Catherine Omanyo has been ranked as the best-performing woman representative in the 13th Parliament.
Timely Kenya released the rankings on Wednesday, August 30, putting Omanyo in position 1 with 81.9% rating.
The survey seeking to establish how constituents rated the overall performance of their MP was conducted between August 10 – August 19, 2023.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, CEO Timely Kenya Rozalia Tadeusz said a sample size of 1590 represented respondents across the country.

“On the other hand, the medium of data collection was Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI),” he explained adding that the survey's successful rate was at 99.89%.
During the interviews, Rozalia revealed that three main questions were posed:
If the respondents felt their woman rep had performed to her level best? How they would rate her out of 100%, and if they thought she’ll deliver in the remaining four years.

TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi was among the legislators satisfying their constituents thanks to their commendable job.
A survey undertaken by Politrack Africa between March and April this year shows the lawmaker outdid himself.
The MP topped the Rift Valley county having scored 63.4%; trailing Sudi were Soy's David Kiplagat (62.8%) and Moiben's Phylis Jepkemoi (61.7%).
In the Nairobi City County, Embakasi East's Babu Owino emerged as the best-performing MP, Tim Wanyonyi of Westlands closely coming behind him.
Nationally, Ndindi Nyoro of Kiharu was feted as the best-performing lawmaker with 73.7%, his Embakasi East counterpart falling in second place with 72.1%.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Politrack Africa survey Data Reporting Officer Zipporah Umile said the ranking was arrived at after speaking to the electorate.
