Kenyan bus company Easy Coach has advertised vacant positions for drivers.
In an advert dated Thursday, August 3, the long-distance bus company noted candidates must be Kenyans aged between 35 and 50.
Easy Coach also indicated applicants must hold a clean class ABCE driving license, Automobile Association of Kenya certificate and Mercedes Benz bus driver certificate.
"Applications to be delivered to our head office. Deadline is August 9, 2023, the company stated.

Other requirements for Easy Coach bus driver jobs
- Applicants must possess over five years of continuous Public Service Vehicle (PSV) bus driving.
- Have a valid, current valid police certificate of good conduct.
- Have a valid, current health report from a recognised public hospital.
- All candidates must have a national ID, NSSF and NHIF cards and KRA PIN certificates.
- They should get recommendation letters or discharge summaries from a previous employer(s).
- Applicants must present academic transcripts and deliver handwritten applications.
Easy Coach's success story
Easy Coach was founded by Azym Dossa, who ventured into the transport industry after working for 17 years at a transport company.
It operates from Nairobi to different regions in North Rift, South Rift, Nyanza, Western Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda.
Dossa noted that following the success of Western Kenya routes, he plans to expand the business to other regional markets such as Rwanda and Tanzania.
“I was inspired by my personal experience of 17 years as the chief financial officer for a leading passenger transport company and my observations of how the industry can be improved as far as customer needs and satisfaction were concerned," Africa Outlook quoted him.
Easy Coach driver gets five stars for discipline
In December 2022, TUKO.co.ke reported that an Easy Coach driver got five stars for discipline during the Christmas travel.
A passenger travelling from Nairobi to Mumias shared a commendation message about Easy Coach driver online.
He praised the driver for observing all traffic rules and slowing on pumps, saying he deserves a pay rise.
The commuter took to Facebook, sharing a photo of the bus -KCH 179T and commended the driver for observing all traffic rules.
