Indonesia - A mother's instinct is always right, and it has played a critical role in a mum having doubts about her newborn child.
Siti Mauliah and her spouse discovered the hospital had switched her baby after carrying out a DNA test to confirm whether the child was theirs.
It left the parents with a sour taste and broken heart as they cared for a child, not theirs, for one year.

"We asked the hospital to take responsibility. We [also] tried to bring in the other (affected) party, but they didn't want to do a DNA test," Siti's attorney, Rusdy Ridho said.
Siti delivered her baby on July 18, 2022, through caesarean section at a hospital in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.
On the second day, she felt strange while holding the baby given to her with her attorney, saying she "felt some differences".
A nurse approached the new mum on the third day, asking about the baby's name, but the identification bracelet did not reflect the correct name.

The nurse said the identification bracelet was wrong, citing it might have fallen or switched with another patient.
When Siti asked for the identification bracelet the following day, she was given a different one as it had a different name.
The uncertainty prompted the concerned mum to take a DNA test, leaving her and her spouse in shock.
They eventually reported the case to Bogor Police's Women and Children Service (PPA) unit to request a settlement from the police.
Carrying out DNA test after wife dies
In another story, a man who did a DNA test after his wife died found out the kids were not his.
The 36-year-old man disclosed that he had two children with his late wife. Unfortunately, the death of his wife would be a challenge to finding the real father of the two children.
The confused man brought the matter to Facebook, asking the opinion of members of the public.
