Kenyans have taken to social media to raise more questions and concerns after an episode on the gruesome murder of former Kiiru Boys High School Principal Solomon Mwangi was aired on Citizen TV.
Mwangi was murdered in November 2016, and in 2021, his wife, Jane Muthoni and her co-accused were found guilty of the murder; she was sentenced to 30 years in jail.
What is Jane and Solomon all about?
Citizen TV has been airing an investigative feature dubbed Jane and Solomon, and the Sunday, August 20, episode caused a stir on social media, seemingly leaving viewers with more questions than answers.

Many particularly cast aspersions on Jane's remarks that on the night her husband is believed to have been killed, she had left his house at 1am to buy milk despite stating she was unwell.
Many wondered about the logic of getting milk in the dead of night, leaving her husband alone on the fateful night.
What questions did Kenyans raise?
Jane, nonetheless, throughout the episode, maintained she was innocent and did not, in any way, participate in the murder of her husband.
Abdulahi Adan said:
"Jane Muthoni says, 'I loved him too much to kill him'. And she went to buy milk at 1am leaving him in the house. Therein lies the reason why she killed him."
Goddie said:
"In Jane and Solomon episode, if Jane Muthoni pursues the appeal, she is likely to get life imprisonment. The evidence is so incriminating."
Mickey said:
"All I can say from Jane and Solomon’s story is fear women. That’s all. That’s it."
Wycliffe Nyamasege said:
"In this Jane and Solomon story, the woman is lying with a straight face, when everything is clear as day. Jane feels unwell in the middle of the night at 1am. She decides to drive herself out of Kiiru Boys High to seek medical attentions without Solomon."
Jane's insistence on her innocence
This is not the first time that Jane has insisted she is innocent in the case involving her husband's murder.
Months after being sentenced, she insisted that she loved him too much to kill him and hoped his real killers would be identified and brought to book one day.
“I have lost everything that I worked for, including my family and career,” she sorrowfully said.
The inmate revealed that they lived in harmony during their marriage, dismissing her in-laws' claims that she was a problematic wife.
