Khamali questioned, whatever the case was, did the teachers plan to kill her only son, pointing out that one of them was enough to punish him.
The 45-year-old woman got louder when the teachers' lawyers presented her with letters in which her son allegedly repented his misdeeds.
She dismissed the letters presented by lawyer Musa Nandwa, stating that her son couldn't be hurt, and then she was cornered using what she claimed to be fake documents.
"What had a mere 12-year-old child done, that three other men, and one woman would want to take his life? Could a single man not discipline the child? Three men and one woman to kill a child? He fought them, was he armed with a gun? I'd rather they kill me. They wanted to kill my child," she cried out.
Citizen TV reported that the letter that had her signature included an apology by her son repenting to his teachers and mother for stealing and possessing three phones.
Another of the letters also bound the mother not to proceed with the case of the alleged assault beyond the school.
Why court suspended proceedings
Senior Resident Magistrate Viena Amboko stopped Khamali's testimony, arguing that she needed to be emotionally stable before continuing.
She put the lawyers on the spot for their conduct when dealing with witnesses, adding that professional ethics binds them.
"She's emotional and therefore she's too down. I have also taken note of the conduct of the counsels in court," she said.
The hearing was adjourned to Friday, September 22, stating that she believes Khamali would be sober to give her side of the story.
The five teachers, Argedius Lubembe, Adelaide Athaka Majoni, Vincent Kadasia Mbakaya, Victor Andove Achesa and Eglay Lungatso Lilungu, are out on a KSh.200,000 bond.
