Kenyans of goodwill have done it again, and this time, they raised KSh 500,000 for veteran Kikuyu gospel artiste Hezekiah Ndung'u aka Hezeh, who is ailing in hospital.

Muraya raises KSh 500k during Facebook live session

Hezeh, who has been battling diabetes for five years, was hospitalised two weeks ago and is still under treatment.

When it became apparent that Hezeh needed financial assistance, his fellow Kikuyu artiste and friend Karangu Muraya visited him in the hospital and started a live Facebook session which raised money for the beloved singer.

"Our dad Hezeh is so grateful; thank you for your prayers and support...by the grace of God, we have managed to support him with KSh 500,000. May Jehovah enlarge your territories... you can continue to send your support on 0700331166 or 0707255755 Hezeh Gatari," said Muraya.
"Speedy recovery, daddy," Muraya said to the man who boasts an illustrious career spanning 32 years.

Colonel Mustafa receives financial support

Hezeh is not the only musician who received help this year, as Colonel Mustafa also got overwhelming support when things fell apart for him.

After disclosing that his mother was diagnosed with cancer and needed funds for hospital treatment, Colonel Mustafa had to work in construction sites to make ends meet.

In messages seen by TUKO.co.ke, the crooner expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed, adding that he would work on getting a Paybill to allow more contributions. He also revealed that the kind words and gestures gave him strength and hope during the difficult time.
