Kisumu - A woman has been thrown into mourning following an unfortunate turn of events on her children.
Everlyne Achungo refused to be consoled after the loving mother of four experienced a huge loss in her family.
The heartbroken mother from Nyalenda Western estate in Kisumu county lost two sons in the last five days.

"I was shocked when I found my sons outside the house, being beaten by the police. The doctor said Oniang'o had a crack on his skull that led to his death. Amulele's neck was broken, and he too had a crack on his skull," Achungo told Citizen TV.
The brothers died within two days while receiving treatment at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH).
Justice for Kisumu brothers
The deceased's aunt Truphena Mboya was among the family members who congregated at Achungo's house to mourn with the inconsolable mother.
She called upon the government to investigate the matter and ensure justice was served for her late nephews.
"I ask President William Ruto, wherever he is, to have mercy on us. He should not praise the police for a job well done. I also implore Raila (Odinga), wherever he is, to stop the Maandamano protests, as parents are losing their children," she emotionally said.
The two brothers had only stayed in a rented room for three weeks. Their friends set up a vigil in the single room, which bore only memories of Amulele and Oniang'o, who stuck together even in death.
Maseno University student shot dead
Separately, a third-year Maseno University Student was shot dead during the chaotic Azimio la Umoja anti-government protests on Monday, March 20.
William Mayenga, who pursued an English Literature course, was shot by a live bullet in the neck and was pronounced dead on arrival at Coptic Hospital.
In the incident, according to a police report seen by TUKO.co.ke, the rowdy students invaded Maseno Police Line, where they vandalised at least ten houses.
The students reportedly overpowered the officers who were manning the station.
