Uasin Gishu - President William Ruto has inspected his large Koilel farm, five months after preparing the land for the planting season.
The president inspected his farm to witness the fruits of his labour as he spent this year's Easter weekend priming the land for planting.
According to pictures shared on Monday, August 14, by blogger Dennis Itumbi, the head of state was in full farm mode as he wore gumboots to check on his succulent maize crops which are now ready for harvesting.
"Easter, President @WilliamsRuto was preparing his farm like most farmers. Today, he took time at the same Koilel Farm, Uasin Gishu, preparing for a bumper harvest. Investing in Production, not consumption subsidy. How are things kwa shamba?" Itumbi said on Twitter.

Ruto flaunts his succulent maize
A couple of months ago, the president got Kenyans talking after flaunting his large farm with succulent, towering stalks nourished by subsidised fertiliser.
The head of state, who ditched his official suits, showed up at his farm with a godfather hat, a polo shirt and a cream pair of trousers.
In photos shared by Itumbi, the president was seen inspecting his crop, which the blogger revealed were nourished by subsidized fertiliser.
"The President today went to check out the impact of the subsidized fertilizer in his farm. The way to deal with the Cost of Living is to subsidize production, work hard and not to wear sufurias in the streets," Itumbi said.
How did Ruto prepare his farm for planting?
On Easter weekend, Ruto spent time with his farm workers and participated in farming activities.
The head of state, who has been emphasising the need to increase agricultural production as the remedy for lowering the prices of food, helped prepare his farm for planting.
He stepped out in black Khaki trousers, a striped sweater top and a godfather hat for the farming activity.
Pictures shared showed the head of state on top of a tractor with his workers as they prepared the land for planting.
He also drove the tractor. He seemed to be hands-on in the farming process.
