Nairobi - Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has toured Nyayo House to assess operations in the Immigration Department.
Kindiki was ushered into a queue of Kenyans waiting to be offered different services at the immigration department.
The CS security and immigration officers diligently serve Kenyans at the immigration office.
"There are Kenyans, security officers and immigration officers who are doing a good job, and I really applaud them and ask them to continue periodically serving their fellow citizens," Kindiki said.

Fleecing Kenyans
However, he said he was alive because a few suspects were fleecing Kenyans while promising a speedup in the process of their travel documents.
"The truth is also clear that the public cannot be complaining in vain there must be a few among us who are soiling our name," he said.
He reiterated that the area was not available for corruption, and any individual found abetting corruption shall be arrested and prosecuted.
"I said last week and I want to repeat it here we will clean up this place from corruption cartels and anyone who is asking for bribes from this space. We will arrest them and prosecute them," he warned.
The soft-spoken CS said Nyayo House was a corruption-free zone.
Kenyans decry massive corruption at immigration department
The Department of Immigration under the Ministry of Interior is on the spot over wanton corruption in processing passports.
The Nyayo House-based office has been trending on social media for the past few days, with Kenyans complaining about delays in getting their passports.
A section of Kenyans took to Twitter to disclose how they had to bribe officials at the immigration department so that their passports could be quickly processed.
They complained that the immigration officials claimed their machines were faulty, but shockingly, the devices operate again if you cough out a few amounts in bribes.
