A Ugandan Judiciary employee was arrested after he was caught sitting a law exam for his girlfriend, Irene Mutonyi.
Ammaari Musa Semwogerere, a newly recruited grade-one magistrate, was caught on Wednesday, July 26, at the Law Development Centre (LDC), Lira campus.
Confirming the incident, LDC director, Frank Nigel Othembi, said Musa gave the name Mukisa Anthony when he was caught, but they later discovered it was part of the lie.
"We have since determined that the said Mukisa Anthony (names he used as an imposter) is actually Ssemwogerere Ammaari Musa, a recently appointed Magistrate Grade I in the Uganda Judiciary," Othembi said in a statement.

He said the LDC was conducting final examinations across all its three campuses, and they would not condone any act of examination malpractice.
"We will continue with our zero-tolerance policy towards any such conduct," he said.
Musa fired for misconduct
The Ugandan Judiciary has since issued a press release saying Musa would not be employed in the Judiciary Service.
He was remanded to Lira Main Prison, having been charged at the Lira Chief Magistrates Court on two counts of uttering a false document contrary to Section 351 of the Penal Code Act and impersonation contrary to Section 381 of the Penal Code Act.
In a statement, Chief Registrar Sarah Langa Siu said the Judiciary was finalising the appointment process of 86 Grade One Magistrates, after which they will be sworn in.
Siu said among the pillars in the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers is integrity, a foundation for the proper discharge of the Judicial office.
Lamu man arrested for wearing female clothes
In an earlier report, police officers arrested a man who was found donning female clothes in the Bajuri area on Lamu Island.
In his defence of why he was walking at night despite curfew orders, the man, identified as Wahome, told police he was working on a pair of wings and further perfecting his flying skills.
The 35-year-old said the wings were part of his research project that the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority had okayed.
