A man named Bonnie Charmer posted a TikTok video where he urged Kenyans to steer clear of friends who don't encourage their ambitions.
He claimed such friends are only after stealing their star (nyota) and sabotaging their success.

He noted that many friends spend so much money on alcohol and vices that hasten their friend's downfall.
Charmer said:
"Not all friends can be trusted. Friends wengi wako na wewe so that they can get an opportunity to bring you down. They want to be close to you to so that they can get a good opportunity to stab you in the back."
Adding:
"Ataku'encourage kufanya vitu hazikusaidii kama kukimbiza wanawake, wababa, zile vitu zote anajua zitaku'distract from acheiving your goals." (They will encourage you to do unproductive things that will distract your aspirations).
Charmer said many people have wasted their lives because of trusting the wrong friends.

Fake friends fail to show up at baby shower
On Tuesday, June 13, a mother-to-be was left inconsolable after her friends failed to turn up for her baby shower.
The pregnant woman was heartbroken when the guests who had accepted her invite, turned her down hours before the event.
Mirror reported that the woman's best friend who helped with the preparations for the beautifully decorated baby shower disclosed that no one had attended the event.
"People can be cold. She deserves so much more," the woman wrote on TikTok.
