Five years ago, Sam wa Ukweli's untimely death sent shockwaves through Tanzania's entertainment community.

He passed away on the night of Wednesday, June 6, while undergoing treatment at Palestine Hospital in Dar es Salaam.

The talented artist had been experiencing intermittent stomach pains before his death, which later worsened into severe diarrhoea.

According to Sam's producer, Steve, the late musician had confided in him about feeling bewitched before his demise.

The deceased was allegedly stabbed by a lady named Blandina Fredrick, a resident of the Ilkirevi, who is now being held by the police.

Details indicate that the incident, which occurred at around 1.30pm, was caused by a disagreement over an electricity bill.

Eyewitnesses claim that the verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation before the suspect allegedly sunk a sharp knife into Nezo B's body.
