Competition between the tech tycoons became high after Zuckerberg launched its Twitter-like Threads platform in early July.
According to Complex, Zuckerberg took to his Threads account and told off Elon.
"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on... I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead," Zuckerberg posted on Threads.
The Meta boss added:
"If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously."
Elon Musk says fight is on
Twitter CEO on Friday, August 11, said the highly hyped charity cage fight with Zuckerberg would take place in Italy, stating authorities had confirmed talks about hosting it.
Musk said on his X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, that arrangements were advancing.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) boss Dana White recently disclosed in Mike Tyson's podcast that the fight would generate KSh 143,700,000,000 in revenue.
