Fredrick Okango: No comic relief, just work
Reached for comment by TUKO.co.ke, the KANU secretary of political affairs said he is certain that Lang'ata residents want a serious leader ready to offer legislative services at all levels.
"Like the rest of the country, I am persuaded that the people of Langata would love a serious leader that can get back to business of representation and legislation on the highest attainable standard of health, accessible and adequate housing, reasonable standards of sanitation, free from hunger, clean and safe water and food in adequate quantities, social security and education. How about we get this done? No comic relief but just work," a categorical Fredrick Okango told TUKO.co.ke.
New Raila Odinga righthand man?
Months after ditching his role as the Secretary General of the Thirdway Alliance, Okango joined KANU as secretary of political affairs.
In his new role, the outspoken advocate of the High Court became one of the closest men of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga.
Lately, Raila introduced him to Kenyans during the anti-government demos.
The governance expert and key Raila Odinga ally has appeared in uncountable media interviews championing the values of the opposition and putting the government in check.
Jalang'o pleads with William Ruto to protect him
After a series of indiscipline cases as per the ODM statement, Lang'ata MP Felix Odiwuor asked President William Ruto to cushion him from disciplinary action by the Orange Democratic Movement party.
Jalang'o revealed he was slated to appear before ODM to answer the accusations of dissenting from the party and backing the government.
He sought to leverage Ruto's closeness with Raila Odinga to quash any disciplinary action the party would take against him.
