Kuria shared a light moment with them before informing them that he had rushed to the place on a boda boda.

Kithure Kindiki, Kuria locked out

On Tuesday, August 1, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki and Kuria were barred from a state house meeting to sign performance contracts for their respective ministries.

A programme by the State House Secretary for Press indicated that the meeting was supposed to begin at 8am.

A furious Ruto said that Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries who arrived late for the event were disrespectful to the taxpayers, who are their employers and demanded that they write an explanation on why they did not make up in time for the important meeting.

"We have a job because we have a contract if you cannot keep time with your employer, you have basically dismissed yourself. I mean, it's just simple as that. So for those who came late, who are members of the executive, I will be expecting a written explanation, and it should not include matters of traffic on why they do not take this performance contracts seriously," Ruto said.
