Bungoma - Sirisia, Member of Parliament, has taken netizens on a tour of his maize farm.
In a TikTok video shared by @esther.matili, Waluke bragged about the size of his maize corn, saying that he was expecting a bumper harvest.
"Mimi nitavuna mahindi nafikiria gunia 1,300 or 1,400 kwa ajili ya mbolea nzuri. Ukiangalia, ona, ukichapwa na mahindi moja kwa kichwa wewe utapelekwa mortuary. (I am going to harvest between 1,300 to 1,400 bags of maize because of good fertiliser. Just look at this maize. If someone hits you with one corn on the head then you will end up in the mortuary,)" Waluke bragged.
How Raila came to Waluke's defence
In November 2022, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga said Waluke deserved a fair hearing and treatment.

Raila said the charges facing Waluke were civil and did not call for punitive punishment and a long sentence of more than 60 years.
A peacemaker, Raila asked the Court of Appeal to grant him bail after a fair hearing and preference of judgement.
“Just like the other people who have more serious cases in court, Sirisia MP Hon. John Waluke deserves a fair hearing and treatment… his case was civil and it doesn’t call for such a punitive sentence of 67 years. The Court of Appeal should grant him bail," Raila said.
This was after detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Thursday, August 2, 2022, picked up Waluke over suspected forgery, perjury, and fraudulent acquisition of public property.
What were the charges levelled against Waluke
Waluke and Grace Sarapay Wakhungu, both named as directors of Erad Supplies and General Contracts Limited, were temporarily held at the EACC headquarters before being taken to Milimani anti-corruption court.
The court heard Waluke and Wakhungu uttered a false invoice for the sum of KSh 115 million as evidence to support a claim for storage of 40,000 metric tonnes of white maize incurred by Chelsea Freight at the National Cereal and Produce Board (NCPB).
Waluke lost an appeal against the 67-year jail term imposed on him over the KSh 313 million National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) scandal.
