Liverpool - A sweet mother has shown her utmost love to her ailing 39-year-old boy with a kidney condition.
Marion gave one of her kidneys to her son, Simon Fellows, who was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, a type of kidney disease, in 2019.
Dialysis at Warrington Hospital
Also known as Berger disease, the medical condition happens when a germ-fighting protein called immunoglobulin A (IgA) builds up in the kidneys, causing inflammation that, over time, can make it harder for the kidneys to filter waste from the blood, as noted by Mayo Clinic.

Fellows was told kidney failure was imminent following the diagnosis, which occurred in 2022 as his kidney function drastically dropped, as reported by Warrington Guardian.
The dad of four began his dialysis at Warrington Hospital, and soon enough, the doctors started talking to him about a kidney transplant.

It was confirmed that Marion, 67, was the perfect match, and so early this year, the mum and son received the news that the transplant could go ahead.
Marion admitted it was an easy decision since it involved her son, and she was ready to go under the knife.
The transplant took place in May at the new Liverpool Royal Hospital and was a ‘huge success’; the duo is both doing very well with their recovery.
Fellows said he was forever grateful for his mum choosing to help him out and essentially saving his life.
Ditched after donating kidney to potential mum-in-law
In a different story, a Nairobi man said an ungrateful lover dumped him after he donated a kidney to her mum.
Edwin, a 23-year-old hip-hop musician and producer who lived in Nairobi, claimed he had only a few years to live.
He met his girlfriend when he was a driving instructor, and she asked him to donate a kidney to her mum which he agreed, foregoing KSh 8 million in the process.
A good deed done out of love nearly cost him his life as he has attempted to take his own life 12 times, and his remaining kidney was not working well.
