A 27-year-old man has been arraigned for allegedly causing disturbance after differing over KSh 60 bill for food he had bought for himself and friends.
Tea mandazi prices
Forka Shikami was arrested for allegedly breaking two thermos flasks after refusing to pay KSh 60 for tea and mandazi he had bought from a vendor.
He appeared before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate William Tulei and faced charges of causing breach of peace following the incident that took place in the Kawangware area.

The prosecution told the court that on August 22, at Kawangware Congo area, jointly with others not before court, created disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by damaging two flasks belonging to Samuel Niyonkuru, a Burundian.
Shikami was also accused of threatening businessman Nigel Luvai during the melee.
According to court documents, on the material day at around 11am, Shikami stopped Niyonkuru who was hawking, tea, coffee and mandazis and ordered a cup of coffee beverage and and mandazi's for himself and his two friends.

However, after they had devoured the delicacies, they slowly began to disperse, prompting Niyonkuru to follow Shikami and asked for payment after his accomplices disappeared.
A commotion then ensued, but Shikami reportedly became very rude and dared Niyonkuru to produce a permit showing that he was licensed to hawk coffee in the streets before asking him for money.
He reportedly told him that if he continued to ask for the money he would rob him of his mobile phone and cash.
An irate Shikami then allegedly pushed Niyonkuru to the ground and broke his two thermos flasks.
Cash bail for criminal charges
The report indicated that the accused proceeded to pour the coffee and threw a bucket filled with mandazis on the ground, pouring them in the process.
Moments later, he was arrested by police officers who witnessed the incident.
At the police station, Shikami allegedly threatened Luvai, a witness in the matter, by telling him that he would kill him after coming out of custody.
He denied the charge and was granted a KSh 10,000 cash bail.
