"Properly insured, professionally driven. Clean, fresh and comfortable. One motive; is giving back to society by offering transport relief to my people going to earn a living and children going to school to secure their future," she wrote.

Children in Dagoretti North going to school hungry

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Bosibori admitted the cost of living in the country was high, and many citizens were struggling to align their finances with their priorities.

"The cost of living has skyrocketed, leaving my people in Dagoretti North in a bad state. Most schoolchildren walk to school on an empty stomach. We are here to offer relief to our people as we seek ways to create solutions for the urban poor," she said, adding she had launched a free meals program for school kids.

Governor Johnson Sakaja’s Dishi program

She said the meals would be free as long as her foundation, "Hon Norah Bosibori Foundation, will partner with other organizations to bring this idea to fruition."

"We are keenly watching Governor Johnson Sakaja’s Dishi program so we do not waste resources. We will mostly cater for kids left out of the program," she stated.

Dagoretti North residents enjoy free rides

Bosibori noted more matatus would be operating in the constituency to help as many residents as possible.

"The essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision. You can't blow an uncertain trumpet.
My Dagoretti North people, you will never walk alone. I am with you! You get free rides! You get free meals! You get free reusable sanitary towels pronto...Because #BossWaDago cares," she wrote.

Sakaja responds to woman's claims on Twitter

Earlier, Sakaja reacted to a lady's claims he lied about feeding kids for free.

According to the lady's Twitter post, Sakaja's programme is not as benevolent as it seems, as parents must pay KSh 5 per day for their children's meals.

The woman questioned whether this could be perceived as an indirect tax rather than a genuinely free service.

"Who told you it's free?" Sakaja questioned the woman.
