"Ni Mungu...Pamoja tunaweza..Thank you, Kenyans," Ondimu captioned before and after photos of the old man's house.

His heartbreaking story came to light when Ondimu learned about his desperate situation.

Kefa had been forced to sleep in a small hole in his dilapidated house for years, as he lacked a proper bed.

What did Ondimu do after learning Kefa's story?

Compounding his suffering, his wife and children had abandoned him, leaving him to grapple with loneliness and despair.

Despite owning a piece of land, Kefa's physical disability made it impossible for him to improve his living conditions.

Deeply moved by this heart-wrenching story, Ondimu embarked on a mission to alleviate his suffering.

His initial goal was to raise between KSh 100,000 and KSh 120,000 to construct a new dwelling for the elderly man.

Additionally, Ondimu pledged to launch a search to locate Kefa's missing children, with whom he had lost contact.

Ondimu raises funds to build house

Taking to social media, Ondimu shared Kefa's story and called upon the public for assistance.

The response from compassionate individuals surpassed all expectations, with generous contributions pouring in to support the cause.

"You are the special type of people who change lives, uplift individuals, and make the world a better place. Thank you for your donations and your commitment to my cause."

With the surplus funds received, Ondimu told TUKO.co.ke his plan to construct a new house and provide a new pit latrine for Kefa.

In an uplifting twist to the story, Kefa expressed his readiness for reconciliation with his estranged wife, who had abandoned him and their children during his time of need.

Kefa is open to forgiving wife

Earlier, the philanthropic cop conveyed Kefa's desire for a loving partner who could offer companionship and assistance in his daily life.

Although the scars of abandonment ran deep, Kefa was open to forgiveness and the possibility of rebuilding his life if his wife returned with their children.

Before Ondimu's intervention, Kefa experienced a ray of hope when Doreen Kwamboka Moses, a compassionate woman, stepped forward to help.

She generously provided Kefa with new sets of clothing, restoring his dignity and sense of pride.

Dressed in maroon pants, a floral shirt, and a black jacket, Kefa smiled brightly for the camera, radiating gratitude for the positive change in his life.
