Siaya - Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has visited a Bondo chief whose house was set ablaze by angry protesters during the anti-government demonstrations.
Walter Omollo's three houses were torched by a mob that accused him of working with the police to zero in on protesters.
"I received a phone call from Ken Ouma telling me that there is somebody who has been killed, and the protesters are saying I am the one who pointed that person to the police to kill," he said in an interview with K24.
The youths also looted his household items, including chicken, livestock, grains, and, before proceeding to his shop in Migingo Market, Bondo and looted it too.

A distraught Walter accused police of failing to respond in time and help him despite informing them of his fears.
Omollo visits Walter's homestead
A week after the violent protests rocked parts of the country, PS Omollo visited the home, offering to support him in regaining normalcy.
Accompanied by Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo and other government officials, they assessed the destruction, as Walter explained that petrol was used as an accelerant during the attack.
"We say pole. We will support you in whichever way we can so that then you are able to continue with your roles as the chief but also as a member of this community. In the same breath, we would be doing this to anyone who is affected in one way or another so that we regain normalcy and continue to live in harmony," he said.
Omollo reiterated that Kenya Kwanza was an administration that abides by the rule of law, adding that they would support law enforcement agencies in their work.
Omollo says 9 police stations were burnt
Earlier, Omollo defended the state law enforcers against the accusations that they perpetrated brute force on demonstrators.
He said about 305 police officers were injured, one succumbing to injuries while facing off with "criminals masquerading as protesters".
Omollo said the law enforcement agents had been wrongly painted in a bad light by being alleged to have brutalised the civilians on the streets.
He said the fact that the officers lost their motor vehicles and had their stations torched was being overlooked.
