Kenyan singer Suzanna Owiyo is grieving the loss of her mother.

Owiyo took to Twitter to share a heartbreaking goodbye message to her mother, whom she called Nyopiyo.
Owiyo expressed her sorrow and disbelief at her mother's death, who she said was a pillar of strength and support for her family.

She thanked her mother for everything she had done for her and her siblings and praised her kindness, strength, authenticity, and honesty.
Owiyo tweeted:
"The disbelief lingers. It's hard to fathom that you're no longer here with us. Thank you, Mama, for everything you've done. You stood as a towering pillar for our family, making life's challenges seem effortless."
Adding:
"The precious memories we've created will forever be held close to my heart. Farewell, Nyopiyo. Until our paths cross again."

Suzanna Owiyo's dad's death anniversary
On Sunday, January 22, Owiyo couldn't let her dad's first death anniversary pass without remembering him.
Owiyo remembered her late dad, Thadius Owiyo, in a moving post.
The ever-green singer shared a slideshow of photos of herself with her father as she remembered his memory.
Owiyo accompanied the photos with a moving tribute song which she composed for her dad when he died in 2022.
She tweeted:
"I miss you dad. You will forever be in my heart... because in there, you are still alive."
