1. Shirleen Wambui stunned as house help returns home late, rudely quits job

Nominated member of Murang'a County Assembly, Sharleen Wambui, was baffled when her househelp returned home at 9.30 pm.

After politely enquiring why her employee was late, the house help became rude, shocking the MCA and leaving her at crossroads.

"Leave me alone. I had gone to handle my own stuff," answered her employee of five months.
"My God! I'm shocked it's the first time she is speaking to me like that. Now she has said she wants to leave, okay, it's fine; I will just count her dues and pay her, but I doubt it is safe if she leaves now and she is insisting! But then I remembered the chief officer who was murdered at night by her househelp. What do I do now? I am so heartbroken, mothers; where are you?" posed Wambui.

2. Kenyan man who quit banking job now living on Canadian streets

When most Kenyans think of moving to foreign lands like US, Canada, and UK, they expect to get a good job and house almost immediately after they land.

However, that is not always the case, as Daniel Wanyeki came to learn.

According to the 33-year-old, he spent two days sleeping outside when he first arrived in Toronto in June as the shelters were full.

"Someone suggested that in Hamilton, there might be some space, and that's why we moved to Hamilton. Hamilton is quite a good town," he said.

He is now living at the Salvation Army, one of the shelters hosting many refugees and asylum seekers needing a place to stay.

3. Crazy Kennar's Google Maps video amuses Nigerian after actor shares it

After battling personal challenges and taking a break from content creation, the comedian's comeback has been met with resounding applause from his ardent supporters.

Following his initial satirical take on Kenyan public servants and their alleged corruption, Kennar struck comedic gold again, highlighting the pitfalls of relying on Google Maps navigation in rural areas.

"Using Google Maps in the village," he captioned the video heightening the comedic effect, underscoring the absurdity of trying to navigate rural areas with a digital tool.

The uproarious video, posted on Kennar's Facebook page, captured the comedian's bicycle journey through a village using Google Maps as his guide.

One of the highlights of the video was when popular Nigerian actor David Jones David shared it on his own Facebook timeline.

Evidently, the video's humour had transcended borders and appealed to audiences beyond Kennar's home country.

4. Kakamega woman kicks out lover after hubby returns after 17 years

A man who had been missing for more than 15 years was warmly welcomed back home.

The grandpa brought joy to the neighbourhood and his family as the happy crowd carried high him up in the air.

His wife, who had given up on him since he had been away for 17 years, was equally excited to see the love of her life.

However, her husband's return made her make a tough decision as she had a lover with whom they also shared a kid.

"We were so happy, we have so much peace in our hearts, and even his children were happy because they knew they had no father. I had given up hope and said he was no more," she told Citizen TV Kenya.

The lady said she had remained single for five years and needed a man but first sought the counsel of her family members.

5. Wellwisher laments as school allegedly rejects offer to help prayerful boy

A wellwisher expressed deep frustrations after attempts to extend a helping hand to a young boy were allegedly met with resistance.

The boy, Vincent Mulwa from Ndalani Boys High School, had gained prominence in a viral video that captured him fervently engaged in prayer.

The wellwisher, identified as Rish Kamunge, a content creator and upcoming Kikuyu gospel artist, narrated the incident in a TikTok video claiming she met resistance from the school principal.

"Ndalani secondary school principal, why are you a dream killer...The child does not even have proper accommodation,' she captioned her video.

According to Kamunge, a foreign benefactor associated with her program had expressed the desire to pay Mulwa's school fees directly to the school, ensuring he could continue his education without financial constraints.

TUKO.co.ke previously featured the top stories, including that of a woman identified as Achieng Agolla Biwott, claiming the same housegirl who killed her boss stole from her and was rude.
