Kisii - Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has hailed President William Ruto's leadership.
During an interdenominational prayer service at Nyanturago Stadium, Kisii County, on Sunday, August 20, the CS praised Ruto for having the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Machogu explained that he always finds forgiving difficult, but Ruto encouraged him to work with everybody for unity and peace in the country.
He explained this had allowed him to work with his competitor in the 2022 General Election, Kisii governor Simba Arati, adding that they've visited state house together.

"All that has been mentioned there; the fruits of joy, peace, love, humility, forgiveness, faithfulness – I saw that he possesses them. Firstly, sometimes I find it a bit difficult to forgive someone, but our Kenyan President said that we are all children of Kenya, so let's stay united. Let's have cooperation and work together willingly.
Let's have peace; that's why my brother Simba Arati is here. We've gone with him to the State House. You know how he used to say before, my friends, isn't God good? Now we are together," he said.
What Ruto did for Fred Matiang'i
The CS further pointed out that Ruto came to former powerful CS Fred Matiang'i's aid when he was under pressure.
Machogu claimed that Ruto told him he doesn't harbour any resentment towards Matiang'i and even invited elders to discuss the issues.
"Your child, whom I mentioned to the president when I went there, I told him this young man is the embodiment of strength, although sometimes power gets the better of him. Our young man, Fred Matiang'i. He told me he didn't have issues and even invited the elders. I followed that, and he said that everyone should come to build Kenya together," he said.
Ruto says God made him win election
In November 2022, Ruto attributed his win in the hotly-contested August 9 presidential vote to his belief in God.
According to the president, the vote was not political, but it gauged those with firm faith in the Almighty.
"In fact, in the last election, it was not just about issues of politics, it was also a referendum on those who believe in God and those who believe in men, and those who believe in God won," he said.
