Uasin Gishu - A 41-year-old man has been charged in Eldoret with offensive conduct after he sent explicit photos and messages to a lady he claims to be his girlfriend.
The court was told that on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Baharini area, Andrew Wanjala used his phone to send suggestive images to a lady identified as A.W.
A report by Nation revealed that Wanjala was arrested by the police at Baharini police station after completing investigations upon taking his mobile phone for a forensic audit.

The detectives in the case reported that Wanjala sent suggestive images to the complainant via WhatsApp.
Appearing before Principal Magistrate Caroline Watima, Wanjala denied the charge, claiming that the alleged messages were love messages that they were sharing as secret lovers.
"I am wondering why my lover has become rude to me to an extent of bringing me to court, yet we were sharing love messages as lovers," he told the court
However, the magistrate stopped him in his tracks, asking him to wait until the trial time, when he would challenge the charges.
A.W dismisses claims of affair with Wanjala
A married mother of two, the complainant denied having a clandestine relationship with Wanjala despite his claims.
She rubbished the allegation of the accused, who had told police during the time of arrest that they were lovers.
The prosecution has lined up six witnesses, including A.W’s husband and daughter, who reportedly saw some of the messages and images Wanjala sent.
Wanjala was released on a KSh 50,000 bond ahead of mentioning on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Nairobi man allegedly touches policewoman's backside
In a separate report, Timothy Mulei was apprehended after allegedly, and indecently so, touching a policewoman manning traffic on Thika Road.
He was arraigned and charged with contravening Section 11(a) of the Sexual Offences Act of 2006.
Mulei, however, denied the charges, securing his freedom on KSh 80,000 bail and an alternative of KSh 100,000 bond.
