Tragically, Nyamlori was confronted with an even more formidable challenge – a stage three cancer diagnosis.
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Nyamlori detailed the discovery of his illness, recounting months of pain and difficulties in swallowing solid food.
"In May 2022, I was treating H pylori. The clinical officer subjected me to several H pyloric kits, but there was no improvement. By August 2022, I started feeling pain when swallowing solid food. I went for an endoscopy in February this year, but the biopsy results came towards March when my contract was almost ending at the Communications Authority of Kenya.
That's when it was found that I had gastric cancer, which had advanced to stage 3. I stayed for 8 months without eating Ugali and was taking rice and maybe cassava. By September this year, I was depending on only uji or my soups," he said.
