A Kisumu man expressed frustration after his baby mama, whom he claims he supports, went to singer Akothee’s home to beg for help.
The man, identified as Bildad Awelo, said he was shocked to see his baby mama, Judith Wasumwa, using their son to attract sympathy from the wealthy musician.
Akothee and desperate baby mama
Awelo said he came across a Facebook post by Akothee, in which she narrated how Judith showed up at her gate with a two-year-old child, asking for a job.

Akothee said she was torn between helping her and not because she doubted whether the case was genuine.
“There is a lady who has travelled all the way from Ahero with a child who is about 2 years old… She says she has been looking for me for help, and what she needs is a job. So now even if I am to offer her a job as a cleaner or whatever the case. Is she genuine? How did she know my home? If I offer her a job even as a cleaner who will attend to the child? If I take her in together with her child, what about her background,” Akothee wrote.
Is Bildad Awelo supporting baby mama?
Responding to the post, Awelo stated that he is a very responsible father who cares for his son.
He said he was upset that Judith was using their innocent child to seek sympathy when he has been supporting them since 2021.
“I’ve supported this lady with all my resources ever since we started living with her back in 2021. I have a lot of stories to tell about our relationship but all in all, I have no regrets. What pains me is finding out that she went to parade my son in front of Akothee’s gate to seek sympathy. I have taken good care of my son from his birth.
On the day he was born, I was filled with happiness and even posted him on Facebook. I have ensured since then that he never lacks. Today I sit down and ask myself what my son did to be used as a bargaining tool to attract sympathy when the dad is still alive. Why not just bring the boy back to his dad so that you can be free?” Awelo wrote.
Baby mama speaks
However, when contacted by TUKO.co.ke, Judith denied the claims by Awelo that he has been supportive and described him as a stubborn man.
She said she went to seek help from Akothee because she needed a job, and she did not go with the baby to attract sympathy.
“He is lying. He doesn’t support his son. I went to seek help from Akothee. I needed a job and I didn’t go with the baby to attract sympathy as he is claiming. He wants me to nag him for him to support the baby,” she said.
Awelo responds to being deadbeat
Awelo, on the other hand, refuted the claims of being a deadbeat father and stated that he had everything, showing how he had supported his son and baby mama.
He said he had even helped Judith’s siblings and wondered why she would lie about him.
“I have always supported her and even her family members. How would I neglect my son when I had previously helped her siblings? She is a liar,” Awelo said.
Awelo has pleaded with Akothee to contact him at 0743067437.
