"I am the third to sit for KCSE among my siblings, and I am happy I have topped the list for now. Besides being the best in my class, I have now scored higher grades than my siblings, who sat for KCSE ahead of me.
"My elder sister scored an A-minus of 80 points, while my second brother scored an A plain of 81 points. I have gone a step higher by scoring an A plain of 83 points, and I believe our parents are proud of us," he said.

The top performer disclosed that he loved mathematics and science subjects and confessed that languages were not his cup of tea, but he had to do his best to excel in all of them.

He desires to study law and become a reputable Advocate of the High Court.

"I want to study and become a reputable lawyer who will play a key role in ensuring that the law is respected and applied as it should, besides fighting for justice for all," said Abdallah.

Sheikh Khalifa Academy school deputy principal Rishad Rajab said they were optimistic the school's mean grade would be better than in the previous exams.

"As teachers, we are proud of our students every year. They make us proud and happy. At least their parents can witness our hard work through their children's performance," said Rajab, who said they hope they will be the best secondary school in the Coastal region.

Among those who scored straight As are three girls and four boys. The school registered 217 candidates for the 2023 KCSE.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale earlier celebrated his relative, who excelled in the 2023 KCSE examinations.
