The heartbroken bride revealed that she also learned that the wedding had been postponed on the eve, and the decision was not hers.
"We got to the venue yesterday and were told that the wedding couldn't go on as planned because there was some paperwork missing," she said.
Nelly reiterated that she was looking forward to the big day and could not have bailed out on the man of her dreams.
"We all cried when the reverend told us there was no wedding. As you can see, I am available and ready to exchange my vows," she maintained.

Nelly Chepkoech's dad speaks
Reverend Charles Koskei said he was baffled by rumours that his daughter had cancelled her wedding.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Nelly's father said:
"The reverend is the one who cancelled the wedding claiming the courtship period was short."
Mr Koskei said he was not angry after the wedding cancellation, encouraging his daughter all would be well.
He claimed the reverend who was to officiate the wedding said they had not submitted some documents.
"He said they postponed the wedding and we will be holding a meeting next week. He said the couple had not filled out some forms and not submitted their parents' IDs photocopies," he explained.

Cancellation left family members in despair
The soft-spoken father said he had already hired a 51-seater bus, ready for her daughter's day, but stopped everything after the reverend's decision.
"Some of the food, including mursik (sour milk) which had already been prepared at Amos's home, was given to villagers," he said.
He added that his daughter was still at home and the wedding would happen before April 2024, pointing out that Nelly was an adult capable of making decisions.
In a separate interview, the loving father disclosed that he was shocked when he received a call from the Area Director in Tenwek, stating that the event was postponed.
"They believe the couple hasn't matured enough in their six-month relationship and need pre-marital counselling. I agree with the necessity of counseling, though we had set the date, informed the Area Director, and even the groom's family had settled the dowry" he said.
The heartbroken father underpinned that Amos is a respectable man he loves, but the abrupt postponement of the ceremony left over 100 of his family members in despair.
