Kanyari said her sister unknowingly trusted a suspected serial killer whom she thought was a potential suitor.
"My sister's only mistake was to trust a person she did not know. She trusted him enough to even sleep with him going by the HIV test kits and condoms found on the scene. She did not know him and she fell into the hands of a suspected murderer.
"She was stabbed on the leg and she bled to death. But I cannot really blame her or fault her," he told his church members.
Kanyari told his faithful that his sister met John Mutara on Facebook and they went on to spent time together before checking into the South B rentals.
Kanyari addresses sister's death
This is the second time that Kanyari addressed his sister's death.
As reported, on Saturday, after news of her death emerged, the man of God revealed that the man captured with his sister on the CCTV video had not met Starlet's family.
“I am heartbroken; she was doing so well in life. We last met on Christmas, and on December 31, we spent time together at home. We had not seen the man before. We learned about him after her death. This is so tragic for us, the family, and even her friends. May her soul rest in peace,” he said.
