Embu - Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has pleaded with Kenyans to re-elect President William Ruto come 2027.

During a church service at the Full Gospel Churches in Manyatta Constituency, Embu county, on Sunday, December 10, Gachagua said the Kenya Kwanza administration required 10 years to transform the country.

Why William Ruto needs 10 years

According to the second in command, Ruto is using his current term to plan but will require another five years to execute his plans for Kenyans.

Gachagua argued that no meaningful development can be achieved by a government within five years.

"This work needs ten years to achieve something substantial. There is no work you can do in five years. The first five are for planning, while the other five are for execution. Please give Ruto his 10 years.
We urge you to pray for our President, we know his work and we acknowledge it, he needs ten years of presidency to be able to complete his work," Gachagua said.

Gachagua's message to Samburu people

In a related story, Gachagua urged residents of Samburu to shun their support for the opposition and throw their weight behind Ruto come 2027, when Kenyans will head to the ballot to elect new leaders.

Speaking at a church service and fundraiser ceremony at St. Francis the Xavier in Baragoi town on Sunday, December 3, Gachagua warned the congregation against throwing away their votes in the forest by voting for the opposition leader, Raila Odinga.

"When the time comes to plan, do your calculations well. Don't throw your vote into the forest. Place your vote where leadership will be found. We have done the political math, and William Ruto will be there," he said.
