Stivo Simple Boy is the best rapper of 2023, this is according to a TUKO.co.ke poll.
Who's Kenya's top rapper 2023?
Simple Boy narrowly edged out acclaimed lyrical rapper Nyashinski, trailblazer Khaligraph Jones and the hard-hitting Ndovu Kuu.
Voters who took part in the poll celebrated Simple Boy as the genre's most impactful artiste in the past year.

Khaligraph was honourably mentioned as the "OG" for his remarkable achievements and contributions to hip-hop in 2023.
The OG toured and performed in, among others, Sydney Australia over the period.
Nyashinski's fans were unmistakably defiant, celebrating the rapper for his longevity and undeniable connection with music lovers.
Simple Boy, however, carried the day:

Who are 2023’s top female anchor, preacher?
Elsewhere, readers who participated in another poll declared Yvonne Okwara as the best female anchor of 2023.
The award-winning Citizen TV anchor bagged the top honours after beating NTV's Olive Burrows, Shiksha Arora (KBC) and Flora Limukii of TV47.
Shiksha was runner-up with many lauding her for her passion, diligence and a lot of enthusiasm at KBC.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero was meanwhile voted as Kenya’s best preacher of 2023.
The New Life Prayer Centre and Church pastor trounced; James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism, Tony Kiamah (River of God Church Parklands) and Harrison Ng'ang'a of Christian Foundation Fellowship church.
Odero had a troubling year. He was arrested over alleged links to Shakahola massacre. He vehemently denied the accusations and was later acquitted by a Shanzu court.
Another TUKO.co.ke poll saw comedian Jacky Vike, popularly known as Awinja, top as the best female comedian of 2023.
Awinja eclipsed Mammito (Eunice Wanjiru Njoki) and Los Angeles-based comic Elsa Majimbo for the top honours.
