He even created a character called Papa Fred, who is a wealthy Congolese tycoon with a penchant for flashy clothes and accessories.
Papa Fred often speaks in a mixture of Swahili and Lingala, and quotes Koffi’s songs in his conversations.
Terence decided to step out in his Papa Fred persona to welcome Koffi at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
He wore a colourful suit, a hat, sunglasses, and a gold chain.
In a video shared by SPM Buzz, Terence was introduced to Koffi by the event organisers, and they exchanged greetings.
Terence expressed his excitement and admiration for the legendary singer, who has been in the music industry for over four decades.
“I’ve been a big fan of Le Grand Mopao since I was young. Welcome to Kenya; It is good to see you, and we can’t wait to see you on stage on the 9th, and 11th of course, those who will be coming on the 11th will still see you. This is your other home. It’s about peace and enjoyment,” Terence said.
Netizens defend Koffi Olomide's dress code
Previously, ODM director Phillip Etale was forced to apologise after netizens took him on for criticising Rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide's dress code.
Etale took to his Twitter platform and insinuated that Olomide should dress as his agemates, then went on to name a few of them.
"This man is called Koffi Olomide. He is 66. His agemates are Papa Wa Roma, JB Muturi, Martha Karua, Theresa May, Steve Harvey, Dwane Casey, Mukesh Ambani et’al. But his dress code makes him mad me off big time," said Etale.
Etale's tweet made netizens angry in return.
