Leaked letter on Kenyatta family's travel

This emerged just a month after a letter between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a local embassy revealing that several members of the Kenyatta family intended to travel to the United Kingdom was leaked online.

The letter leaked after the former president revealed that he desired to go on vacation with his family to rest. The travel details of the Kenyattas were leaked to bloggers.

In the official communication, the foreign ministry asked the high commission to facilitate the issuance of entry visas to the 16 family members of the former president.

According to the leaked communication, the president's first-born son Jomo, his wife Fiona, former first lady Margaret Kenyatta, Muhoho Kenyatta, and Ngina Kenyatta are among those expected to travel to the UK on August 2, 2023.

Uhuru's cousin says he isn't Mt Kenya kingpin

Elsewhere, Uhuru's cousin Kung'u Muigai recently hailed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as the new Mt Kenya kingpin.

Kung'u noted that with Uhuru's retirement, Rigathi was the new kingpin of the vast Mt Kenya region.

Kung'u stated that by being the deputy president, Rigathi is the Mt Kenya supreme leader the residents should follow.
