Noordin Haji fails to charge DJ Fatxo

As we previously told you, DJ Fatxo was a prime suspect in the death of Jeff Mwathi, who died in his house on February 22, 2023.

On Wednesday, May 17, DJ Fatxo was cleared because the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) had failed to gather evidence linking him to the death.

His lawyer, Okatch said:

"It is clear that there is no single shred or iota of evidence to suggest any remote criminal culpability by our client or suspicion thereof."

He explained that Fatxo was not in the house when Jeff was reported to have fallen to his death in the said apartment.

"In fact, it is very clear that our client was not even at his house at the material time that his friend, Jeff Mwathi met his death," he added.

DJ Fatxo asserts he's innocent

While it was primarily believed that Mwathi took his own life, it later emerged that the young man might have been murdered after all.

Commenting on the matter after a while, Fatxo said he does not know how Mwathi died, seeming to dismiss the belief that he had a hand or got an idea of how the deceased met his end.

Fatxo revealed how being linked with Mwathi's death took a toll on him and his family, their matriarch being the worst hit by it.
