"She was surprised," he said.
Images showed an elegant setup featuring yellow and black balloons.
Thuranira presented Vanessa Magiri with a red bouquet, and they kissed.
Inside the restaurant, the birthday party sat beside each other on a long line of chairs and tables.
Vanessa was presented with an orange and white cake with flower decorations.
The guests enjoyed sumptuous meals during the celebrations.
The birthday girl finally cut the cake and shared yet another kiss with her husband.
Thuranira disclosed that Vanessa got numerous gifts amounting to around KSh 1 million.
He also penned a heartfelt message to her, saying:
“Wishing you a joyous birthday as you officially turn 16. You are the keeper of my heart and my closest confidante. The glue that holds our family together.
Together, let’s embrace a future filled with happiness. Your essence brings purpose to our lives.”
What is Mwenda Thuranira's relationship advice?
Thuranira previously encouraged men not to go for broke women.
“Success breeds more success. Why should men be moneyed only and women work? You’re not a Ben 10 if you marry up.”
The MySpace Properties founder and CEO said that the most common money mistake in relationships is leaving the man to pay all the bills.
“Men are providers, but women should bring something to the table too. What if a man dies or loses his job?” wondered Thuranira.
He further discouraged young women from dating older men for money.
“No fresh guy will go for those wasted by sponsors already. No man wants a bakshishi (remnants).”
Thuranira, happily married for years, said that the secret to a happy marriage is having communication, working together, respect and honesty.
