This followed the retailers' invitation to the 98th store launched along Waiyaki Way, opposite Safaricom House.

"We're opening our 98th store - Naivas Baraka Shell, Waiyaki Way (outbound opposite Safaricom House). Come celebrate with us and enjoy crazy deals!"
The launch was part of the retailer's expansion drive that aims to increase stores across the country to hit the 100 mark.
Kenyans ask about Naivas career opportunities
Kenyans asked for available job vacancies from the chain store's newly opened branches across the country.
"New stores opening but never heard of new jobs being advertised, ama jobs ni chini ya maji?" asked one Kenyan in reply to the tweet.
@AGRIPPAH2 asked;
And when do you normally advertise for your jobs for such new openings? Normalize inviting people for job applications too. I have someone interested in working for you."
A spot check on the company's career website did not show any job openings as of the time of publishing this article.
Naivas indicated it values the professionalism and the career growth of its employees.
Naivas Kisii strip mall store
In July 2023, the retailer opened a new branch in Kisii town as part of its expansion drive across the country.
The branch launched at the first-ever strip mall in Kisii County adds up the retailer's stores to 96.
Naivas Chief Commercial Officer Willy Kimani said the branch opening was inspired by calls from customers requests.
It has not been easy, especially with the current macro-economic environment where inflation has seen commodity prices rise. However, we have been coming up with clear initiatives like Naivas Kikapu Kibonge to cushion our shoppers,” said Kimani.
However, the retailer did not mention any career opportunities for the new branch and other subsequent stores.
