A boda boda rider has recounted his ordeal after a female passenger he had ferried vanished without paying her fare.
Passenger vanishes without paying KSh 500 fare
The rider said he had agreed on a fare of KSh 500 with the passenger for the journey.
"I met the lady, and she asked me to carry her. I told her I would charge her KSh 500 but she didn't bargain," he said.

However, upon reaching the destination, the woman disembarked and headed straight to a nearby bar.
She assured the rider she would return shortly, leaving him waiting by the gate.
Seemingly hopeful of making another trip with the passenger, the rider patiently waited.

However, as time passed and the woman did not return, the rider grew concerned and decided to check the belongings she had left behind.
"She left me waiting for her at the gate and I thought it was a blessing because I would make another trip back with her. She took longer, and when I went inside to look for her, I found she was nowhere to be seen," he said.
To his dismay, he discovered only old shoes, tissue paper, a diaper, and a small package of omena wrapped in paper.

In a separate story, a boda boda rider from Embakasi received accolades from colleagues and netizens for his honesty and kindness after returning a lost phone to its rightful owner.
The man named Njuki caught the attention of many, who expressed that he embodied the perfect example of integrity and decency in an industry known to have rogue operators.
In the video shared by Derrick Mbugua, the honest rider was captured having a conversation with the owner who had come to collect it.
