Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that the head of state left Bungoma residents in stitches while speaking to them atop his luxurious car, from where he offered to help Salasya pay his wife's bride price.
Speaking on Sunday, August 27, the president asked the residents to look for a wife for the Azimio MP, whom he hilariously accused of being a nuisance.
How William Ruto made fun of Salasya
In the fun banter, Ruto said the MP needed to settle down.
"Your MP has no wife, and he really disturbs people. I am actually ready to pay the bride price for him. Please get him a wife from this place and hurry up. Will you guys help him so that he can stop disturbing people," Ruto told the charged crowd.
Further, the president asked Salasya to stop associating with Azimio leaders, such as Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah, whom he said has nothing to offer the first-time MP.
Ruto has been on a five-day tour of the Western region, and he, on Sunday, graced an interdenominational church service in Bungoma. Salasya was present.
