The car wash is situated at K-Mall.

He noted that the money was missing after branching to a filling station to fuel.

Kaibaika returned to the car wash premises, where he found Andere missing, but went ahead to inform the management.

The businessman would then proceed to the Kayole Police Station where he filed a plaint with the officers there.

Detectives immediately embarked on investigations and ultimately traced him to his native village of Namuchilla in Butula, Busia county.

While admitting to the theft, Andere told the police that he did not bother to count the monies when he grabbed them.

After a thorough search at the suspect's home, the detectives found KSh 800,000, new jackets, and shoes.

The case is set to make progress after the prosecution avails the money and the items.

Another video showed that the generous giver returned some days after and blessed the man with another $20,000 (KSh 2.9 million) people contributed to him.

The car wash fellow became emotional and said he had not even gotten $100 (KSh 14,430) as a gift from anyone before.
