Ruto's mother Sarah covers journalist with Maasai shuka

On Thursday, June 22, President William Ruto's mother, Sarah Samoei, showed a loving mother's gesture to journalist Zipporah Achieng during an event to issue title deeds to over 500 residents.

As the event proceeded, the 21-year-old dressed in a grey bodycon, reaching slightly above her knees, braved long hours to get the best shots for news.

However, about an hour into the event, Mama Sarah, 81, who had remained calm and seated, stood from her seat and steadily walked towards Achieng.

After wrapping the shuka around her, Mama Sarah walked back to her seat calmly, leaving those in attendance with questions.
