The viral photo showed a dishevelled Elvis Bwire adoringly staring at a photo of a neat pupil, and it moved many as it showed him seemingly desiring to own shoes and be like the neat boy he was gazing at.
A few days after he went viral, a Ugandan company found Bwire and bought him shoes. The company also sponsored his education at a better school, and since then, the young lad's life has never been the same.
Two years since he went viral, a letter that Bwire wrote to the CEO of the Ugandan company for changing his life was also shared on social media, and it touched many.

Netizens were warmed not only by the message of gratitude he conveyed to the well-wisher but also by his handwriting.

In his thank-you note, the little boy thanked the CEO for taking him to a better school where he found new friends and classmates.
"May the Almighty God continue to bless you and bring us more children," he wrote in his letter posted on Facebook.

The schoolboy's photo moved many who pleaded with Bravo Shoes, a Ugandan-based company that took the picture, to find him to get the help he deserves.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, the company's chief executive officer, Brian Yesigye Bravo, confirmed he found him in Luuka District, in Busoga, Eastern Part of Uganda.
