On Reddit platform, it was apparent that most Kenyan are shelving dating for temporary hookups or just not looking in the direction of the opposite gender as well.
In the category of luxuries Kenyans have shelved are tipping waiters, taking road trips out of their main towns and in a strange twist, some people have confessed to not visiting their parents as much as they used to in the past.
Some people are cleverly looking at products and come up with ways to have more for less.
"Going for cheaper products in the same category. For example, 500ml of hyped toilet cleaner goes for, around KSh 580, the same KSh 580 can get you a litre of a lesser-known toilet cleaner brand. Seriously they all do the same thing and this is not food where you have to be very cautious about the brand or "quality"," said a netizen identified as Atole.
