Omuse is an orphan
Omuse's inspiring story dates back 12 years ago when Bungoma pastor Joseph Mukolwe rescued him from the streets where he had been living after his parents died.
Thanks to Mukolwe's intervention which saw him enrolled into a children's home, the youngster was able to hone his footballing skills.
In a remarkable turn of events, the once-disadvantaged boy ended up captaining his team, St Anthony Boys' High School, to victory at the national high school games.
It was a development that not only saw his star as a promising footballer begin to shine, but he also became an international phenomenon.
"I'm grateful to God because it is by His grace that Omuse does what he's involved in, and I pray that the boy's dreams of playing for Manchester City come to pass," Mukolwe told TUKO.co.ke.
