“I’m on my level. In terms of money, I don’t think there is a female artiste who has more money than me in Tanzania. Some of us don’t talk, but the land that we have, if we start showing title deeds, people will run away in terms of money, assets, investments; assets especially. I don’t think there is a female artiste in East Africa," Nadia said.
The mother of one also acknowledged that some artists may surpass her in terms of YouTube views and social media followers, often through artificial means such as bots.
“In terms of YouTube, views yes, because some do buy using bots…they can beat me when it comes to views and followers because of bots.”
Nadia vows to lead women against come-we-stay marriages
Previously, the award-winning said that people who cohabit are not officially married.
She shared a video of herself in her nail salon, echoing famous preacher pastor Ng'ang'a who recently called out couples who were in a come-we-stay kind of relationship arrangement.
Part of what pastor Ng'ang'a preached said:
"You are doing things without meaning. You take people's daughters and impregnate them. You give birth to wonders. You don't want to pay dowry yet come to church and say praise God. Praise who? You are a liar, you are a sack. Inside you, you are a sack."
While captioning the video she said:
"Come we stay mpo pande gani. Come we stay si ndoa. I am leading the maandamano."
