Nyeri - A woman has opened up about her source of income, saying she diligently works at the construction site.
Jacinta Wanjiku Njeri said she could not sit back and watch her precious children suffer from lack like any mother.
The mother of three who stumbled upon a knife under her matrimonial bed said she needed a source of income to keep her family afloat.
Lessons at Nyeri mjengo sites
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the lady said other than offering laundry services, she knew her way around construction.

"I move blocks from one place to another and mix sand with cement. I even know the ratio: one bag of cement goes with three wheelbarrows of sand. When you go to the site, you have to know these things. I do many jobs as long as my kids have something to eat and go to school," she said with a smile.
Stressful life after marriage ends
Since the Nyeri woman parted with her husband of 14 years, she admitted life was difficult with many responsibilities weighing down on her shoulder.
She could not sit back and do nothing about her situation with financial obligations such as rent, school fees and shopping.
"It has been stressful. It has not been easy because I have a house to pay for, educate my kids, and provide food," she added.
